As a bride, I felt like I could be fully present for our day; I didn’t even think about the photos because I had such high confidence in these two. They will not miss capturing a single valuable moment, whether it’s the classic ‘walking down the aisle shot’ or the less obvious subtle details and interactions that you never saw (which end up being some of your favorite shots)!
The photos they offered us helped me see our wedding day from so many other perspectives that you naturally miss as the bride and groom, and that was a huge blessing! For example, my parents' faces during the ceremony, people stretching their hands out to pray for us, guests interacting during social hour, the faces of my bridesmaids as I walked down the aisle… I never expected that there would be so many special moments that I wouldn’t see during the wedding, so I am incredibly grateful that they were able to capture these.
They really know how to sneak in and out and capture moments without you feeling like you’re in too much of a spotlight. Their words are encouraging and fun, and give you so much confidence, especially if you’re naturally more camera-shy! They have a great balance of allowing moments to occur spontaneously, while also offering tips and adjustments so you actually look good in your photos.
You only get to experience your wedding day once, but having excellent photos is such a treasure when you want to “relive” the day. Having Ben and Joanna was the BEST choice we could have made for preserving the memories of our wedding.

In terms of getting set up for the engagement and wedding photos they were so fun to be around. Their energy was contagious and made each session so fun, relaxed, easy, romantic, everything! “Wow! Where do we begin? Ben and Joanna are an amazing couple and their photographs are incredible.
Our favorite part about working with them was their attention to detail. There were so many special moments filled with love and joy on our wedding day and Ben and Joanna captured them beautifully.
Ben and Joanna were very committed to helping us stay present on our wedding day. We loved that about them. The first time Karl and I met with Ben and Joanna they suggested that we partake in a ‘Just Married Moment.’ So right after saying “I do,” Karl and I walked down the aisle together and took five minutes to be alone.
