We’re Ben and Joanna Law, a husband and wife documentary and editorial style wedding photography team based in Northern Michigan, serving clients across the globe. We fell in love 10 years ago and have had the privilege of documenting weddings and portraits together ever since.
To us, the best photographs are filled with art and heart. A collection of editorial and documentary style images that represent both the heartfelt, expressive and candid moments, paired with artful, elegant and timeless portraits that will look just as good on your 30th anniversary as it did on your first.
Our focus is on helping you feel present, joyful and free, so that you can enjoy your day to the fullest and capture photos that make you feel confident, beautiful, and document the most genuine version of you and your loved ones.

We’ve been forever changed by the love of Jesus, and are imperfectly trying to follow Him, and love others like Him.

Weddings are for the people
We got married in 2020, and like many couples that year, we were faced with the very real chance of having a wedding that none of our closest friends or family were allowed to come to. Imagining our wedding day without the people we love being a part of those memories was heart wrenching, and we’ll never forget that feeling.
It really put into perspective what’s important on a wedding day, and how deeply we treasure the presence of our loved ones. This experience changed the way we document weddings forever.
Weddings are for the people. They’re for the bride and groom to express their love, and to celebrate it with the people who got them there. And that… that is the most precious gift.
Whenever a bride and groom enter their reception with the most pure joy on their faces, friends and family leaping out of their seats to clap and cheer them on, or when there’s an extra crazy moment on the dance floor with everyone singing their hearts out, fully surrendered to the music and deeply connected, it brings tears to our eyes to see that tangible love and joy on display and that everyone is together - just as they’re meant to be.
Documenting these memories is an honor we do not take lightly, and is one of our deepest joys.
